Team Dannamalz Bows Out Early

I’m contemplating joining the pro bowling circuit. Actually, that’s a complete lie, the closest I’ll ever get to being a pro bowler is having my own ball. Truth be told, the only reason I even have that is that it was a random birthday gift from Mitch and I thought it was pretty. So, now that we have a nice foundation for my bowling experience, it shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone that my partner Dan (who is usually a really good bowler) and I were the last seed in the TinCaps bowling tournament.

Being the #9 seed set us up for a pigtail game against two of the best bowlers in the TinCaps office. We were never scared though, and brought our A game. I was apparently blessed by the bowling gods for a short period of time from approximately 9:30  to 11:30 p.m. last Wednesday. I threw three gutter balls ALL night! That is absolutely amazing, and on top of that had very few open frames (yeah, that’s me spewing bowling lingo). Dan returned to his great form as well and we were cruising.

Cruising at least until we came against “Team Spare Me” aka Jenn and Ryan. It was as if the bowling gods turned off the faucet of talent, and I was stuck with my below average skills. I’m sure you know where the story goes from there, team Dannamalz was defeated. Bummer. Oh well, I’m still looking forward to next season, and just might even be improved by then.

Chris and Jamie were our first loss of the night. I forgot to mention that it was double elimination. I didn’t really count this one as a loss though because we at least rocked… they just did too!

We should’ve known we were in trouble when we saw the “Team Spare Me” showed up with uniforms.

Insert sad face here.

Sorry, that I’m just now getting caught up on the blog. I’m trying to tie up everything here on the business and personal side before I head back to Colorado on Thursday, so its a little crazy. What A Deal Wednesday will return this week, so see you then!

Seniors… 2009 and 2010

I wanted to clear up a little confusion. I am most definitely still accepting Class of 2009 seniors. I’m just working on getting the Senior Rep. Program for the Class of 2010 up and going at the same time. Sorry for any confusion that caused. So, if you’re a 2009 or 2010 senior, contact me and we’ll get more info rolling your way.

In the meantime, Class of 2010, here is the Senior Rep. info and pricing. The site that you’ll view these files on is pretty straight forward, just use the arrows to flip pages and the magnifying glass to zoom in and out.

When you’re ready to print it out and fill out your application you’re going to want this file, so you don’t drain your printer’s ink.

Plans Shmans

I had big plans for yesterday, but had something come up that kind of threw a wrench in. Luckily, I still finished up the list, but it wasn’t until about midnight. The number one thing on my list for yesterday was to finish up the Class of 2010 pricing and senior rep. files. By the way, I have the hardest time typing out 2010, I always type 2001 and have to go back and fix it.

The pricing itself is done, I’m just waiting for the print ready file to finish up and will post up links on here as soon as that is ready. If you’re impatient like me, just shoot me an email and I’ll get the viewing file right over. I am pumped to get moving on this year’s senior season. I have a ton of new ideas that I can’t wait to try out!

Quick Note

I can’t believe how hard this time change has kicked my booty. It probably doesn’t help that it included a rare 3 A.M. night out and about, a trip to a different time zone, and all the same night/morning that we sprung forward. My list today is a mile long and I’m afraid to say there is not a prayer for me to get everything checked off.

I did want to make sure that I made a quick announcement. I’ve been in touch with everyone that I had to reschedule sessions in December with, but have a couple who haven’t set their new dates. Wednesday, I’m going to be sending out the open dates to those on the mailing list, Facebook Fans, and Facebook Group members. You can of course still book after Wednesday, but the chance of getting the time slot you want will be a little bit slimmer.

Call or email me with any questions!

The Field In A Different Light

In a previous post I had mentioned how much I was looking forward to being able to separate baseball and photography this year. However, I didn’t explain myself very well. There’s no way that I can just put the camera down all together, especially when it comes to my other love. I can however, say no more “canned”  and expected shots. The work that I did when working at the ballpark wasn’t necessarily my style. In fact, my style tends to zoom in on the details and change the way an everyday item might be seen. Not to say I won’t every now and then have the stereotypical pretty field shot (my husband wouldn’t let me stop taking those), but I really like shooting whatever floats my boat. :)

And finally a shot of the field. They were finishing up on the net yesterday when I stopped by. Also, anyone who has been by the field or checked out the webcam will have noticed the a couple of the growth blankets are missing. After the hurricane that swung through last Thursday, Mitch went into the field only to find that a *few* of the blankets had grown legs and moved. Luckily, they were all still on the field, just up against the walls and dugouts. I think it is pretty safe to say that they’ve turned into his nightmare for the week.

I really can’t wait to post up some shots when everything is all finished and greened up. Parkview Field and the entire Harrison Square project are truly going to be gems.

Come On Over…

All together now, sigh of relief. :::sigh::: The blog is done. I had a few offers by HTML and CSS geniuses to help me out (thank you), but I really wanted to figure this out on my own (especially because it really shouldn’t have been that hard). I think I just might have done that!

So, come on over to the new home of Anna Lynch McClary Photography’s blog.

You Made It!

After a longer than anticipated wait, I introduce to you the new Anna Lynch McClary Photography blog! I’ve tried testing everything out and have had a few others as well, but if you come across anything that isn’t working the way you think it should, please let me know by either emailing me or using the contact form on the menu above! I’m sure there will be more changes made as everyone uses the blog, but I’m so glad to have reached this starting point.

I am too excited to fall asleep and not have CSS and HTML questions circling my brain, to stay up one minute later. I promise tomorrow to have some new images from Parkview Field, though. I really can’t wait to post them up with the new, bigger and better images over here.

So, update your bookmarks and click on the RSS option in the menu to subscribe to the feed.

Gotta Love Bugs

Filed under Anna Lynch McClary Photography • Written by Anna @ 10:41 am

I haven’t forgot about the blog launch, I promise. Just when I thought everything was set to go, I ran into a rather large bug. I’m working on it now, so check back later today for the new blog!

Update: Well, it looks like figuring this out today isn’t in the cards for me. My server is now down. Thanks everyone for being so patient with this craziness.
